Most international magazines are available
in Hong Kong and several Asian focused editions are published here. If you
cannot do without your monthly Architectural Digest or Harper's & Queen,
most of the larger bookstores, such as Demock's in Prince's Building, and expatriate
orientated news stands, such as the one on Staunton Street in Soho, carry the
international glossies but at a high price. It may well be worth subscribing
internationally, and subscribing generally is more economical.

Four channels, two in English and
two in Chinese, are available through a normal aerial. Children's programming
starts at 4:00 pm, whilst Chinese television is available all day. The best
way for children to learn to speak Cantonese is by watching Chinese programming.
