Hong Kong Information
Immunization

Before relocating to Hong Kong, ensure that you and your family are up to date with inoculations against diphtheria, measles, mumps, polio, rubella, and tetanus. The international schools will require immunization records upon the registration of your children. If you are travelling from an area infected with diseases such as cholera, the plague or yellow fever, inoculation records against these may be requested by the immigration authorities.

The World Health Organization recommends immunization against:
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Japanese encephalitis
Meningococcal meningitis
Rabies
Tuberculosis
Typhoid fever

For more information, have a look at information on the Centre for Disease Control's website.

If you or anyone in your family has blood type RH negative, display this prominently on identification documents and inform your GP, as RH negative blood type is rather rare in Asia, a source needs to be identified in case of any future emergencies.
