Dining Out in Hong Kong
Hong Kong's top restaurants rival those of any international city. Whatever your tastes, you will find some fantastic options amongst Hong Kongs myriad restaurants. The Chinese love to eat well and that is certainly evidenced by the excellent Chinese, as well as the many other restaurants offering European, New World and Fusion cuisines. The Hong Kong Chinese palette has become very sophisticated over the years, thus fuelling a dynamic dining scene.
Hong Kong is renowned for its constant turnover of restaurants. New restaurants open frequently, ensuring an unending supply of new and exotic eateries to try out.
Although you can find value for money, especially amongst the smaller restaurants tucked away in Soho and Causeway Bay, dining out is generally expensive.
Not all restaurants have a non-smoking section. In recent years, steps have been taken to accommodate non-smokers. More restaurants are now adopting the practice of segregating their seating, but it is wise to check when making reservations.
